Schools: Reservations are requested as early as possible. This includes the number
of children attending and adults supervising, and the time which you want to come. Payments
can be also sent at this time or at the event itself. Payment will be collected before the students
exit the bus. Checks can be made out to the Happy Valley Lions Club. If you cannot attend,
two weeks notice is required for cancellations. Fail to do so and your school will still owe the
admission fee for the event.
Teachers (Public School): We ask that you split your class into two rows (ranks) once you
reach the event site. The kids will be marching and this will also help in splitting the larger
groups. Questionnaire will be available online for your students to use. First priority is keeping
the kids under control. The reenactors will discipline if we have to, resulting in a one way ticket
back to the bus. The docents (students that will guide the groups to each station) will also have
this power. A disruptive student is hurting not only himself, but everyone around them.
Home Schoolers: Since your school structure is different than that of a public school system,
we are inviting you to stay for the full day if you wish, catching up on any stations you may
have missed during your session. Please bring a lunch if you plan to stay the whole day. You
are free to eat with the reenactors if you wish, just pick up your area when you are done.
