Further Information
This coming March, the RACW and Shasta College are working together to bring a living history event to
the Northern California. Located in Redding, CA, this event will include a Friday Student Day and weekend
visitation for the public. This event will also serve as a club tactical for the members of the RACW (The
Reenactors of the American Civil War).
What is a Tactical?
A tactical is a beginning of the year training session for our reenactors. In order to put on safe and
historically correct events, our reenactors train in the tactics, marching techniques, and firing methods of
the 1860's. This is mainly a military event but there may be select civilian members in attendance. We will
be recruiting for our military units so any interested parties are encourage to attend.
